Resources

Where do homeschoolers find the books and other materials to teach their children at home?

There are many excellent resources for Catholic homeschoolers, from distance-learning schools to publishers of individual subjects and materials.

Distance-learning Schools
These schools provide the structure and accountability which some homeschoolers want. Also, some of them are suppliers or publishers of good-quality Catholic instructional materials which can be purchased without enrolling in the school.

Cathy Duffy Reviews has comprehensive information about Catholic publishers, on-line classes, individual products and subjects, and more. This is a good place to start if you’re in the research and planning stages. And it’s a good place to go if you’re an experienced homeschooler looking for something different. Of particular interest are Cathy’s reviews on several books about Catholic homeschooling in general.
